Fredericton Outdoor Summer Theatre (FrOST)
Presents
“ACT NOW!!” Summer Drama Camps 2008
Calithumpians take great pleasure in announcing our "Act Now!!" 2008
- innovative, fun and exciting participatory day camps for kids.
“Act Now!!” isn’t just a catchy invitation, it’s a promise!
All week your kids will be active - acting, singing and dancing etc. They will finish their week up on stage in a public performance in Friday’s finale!
The weeklong sessions s offer children and adolescents a chance to experience theatre first hand and actually get up and perform their own creations at the end of a multi-faceted drama program. Registrations are now open and space is limited.
These day camps follow our tried-and-true formula of drama activities and participatory games with emphasis on fun and personal development. Calithumpians has been offering drama camps and workshops for children for over twenty years.
The participants will enjoy a peek-behind-the-scenes of the FrOST Theatre-In-The-Park, at Officers’ Square, and enjoy the live lunchtime performances by the professional troupe. Various members of the summer troupe provide specialized short programs daily including singing, dancing, physical humour, theatre games, movement, improvisation and mask making.
All camps will culminate in a short program or play written and performed by the camp participants. Their show goes Friday at noon in the park as a curtain raiser for FrOST.

ANNOUNCING APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
We are considering an apprenticeship program for 15 and 16 year olds. We would like to gauge interest in this program which is designed to bridge between our camps and employment with our company in the future. This experience will give these select performers an opportunity to learn “on-the-job” and receive mentoring and perform in the FrOST professional shows on a limited basis through the apprenticeship tenure. The apprentices will be required to interview & audition for a position. Please send an application letter and resume to the above address or pacey@nbnet.nb.ca For more information, please inquire directly from Peter Pacey at 457-1975
